Key account management, client-focused delivery and global leadership & collaboration
I work in Synechron’s Singapore office where I manage one of our key accounts for APAC, helping our teams deliver projects and programs that provide high tech, easy-to-use solutions to our clients.
I also play a key leadership role across the APAC, Netherlands and UK business units, where I am involved in everything from resourcing, recruitment, financials and forecasting, to strategy, delivery and general management.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Manage key accounts of our clients for various geographies.
The people-centric mentality, and the constant focus on delivering quality to clients
Before Synechron I worked at very large, global tier 1 banks that had over 120k employees, as well as a 3-person start-up. I joined Synechron because it splits the difference between those experiences – Synechron is big company, but has retained a client-centric start-up mentality, focusing on creating value for our clients.
Another thing that appealed to me was the meritocratic, people-centric nature of the team. Synechron encourages and rewards those who follow their passion and help drive to the company forward from within.
“Synechronites” are not constrained by the status quo - we get things done
Design Thinking and FinTech expert
I graduated from the University of Nottingham with a BSc in Economics. I went on to spend over 14 years at multiple banks, starting in a graduate training programme, working my way up through multiple roles and functions, such as Finance change management and leading a global outsourcing procurement team. I also briefly worked in a start-up, exploring the FinTech market.
Having attended INSEAD’s “Innovation by Design” course in 2018, I was invited back to co-facilitate the course in 2019, and helped create a marketing campaign for the course which can be viewed ">here. Within Synechron, I have developed and rolled out an internal Design Thinking training program, training hundreds of team members (and client teams) across Singapore, Pune, Bangalore, Amsterdam, New York, New Jersey, Charlotte, Nashville and more.
Writer, family man and sports fan
I am a father of three; 2 boys and a girl. We are a very international family - I am British/Australian, my wife is French/Nicaraguan/German, and our kids were all born in Singapore (we moved here in 2007 for 2 years… and have called Singapore home ever since).
I write children’s books, and have recently had my first book published by Penguin, with a second book also out in September 2020. I love all sports, especially surfing & skiing, and spend every Saturday morning coaching my sons under 6 rugby team.
