Client Lifecycle Management and Financial Crime
I currently run the Client Lifecycle Management and Financial Crime practice in Singapore together with a team of smart, motivated, and highly-skilled individuals. Also, more recently I became the Business Development Lead for APAC, where I work closely with our Head of APAC on a daily basis, managing a team of amazing consultants on the ground, ensuring that Clients are happy and satisfied with our services, and also building up the Synechron brand in the market to drive further growth in the region.
A DAY IN THE LIFE

Dynamic, entrepreneurial, and team-oriented culture
I decided to join Synechron after coming back from my exchange semester in Spain where I took my Innovation and Entrepreneurship courses. At the time, the Singapore team was still very new and the firm operated like a start-up in that everyone was involved in running the office and every contribution mattered. I also met people who I knew I wanted to work with, given their diverse backgrounds and experiences, and they made me feel at ease from the beginning. Even now, the culture is still very dynamic, entrepreneurial, and team-oriented. I was brought into projects that allowed me to work directly with the Managing Director who valued my ideas, allowed me to think creatively, and gave me a safe environment to fail and learn from my mistakes. The firm has allowed me to grow and chart my own destiny which would not have been possible in traditional hierarchical organizations.
Cum Laude with a double degree in Applied Economics and Accountancy, Certified Public Accountant, MBA in Finance, Chartered Financial Analyst
I graduated Cum Laude with a double degree in Applied Economics and Accountancy. After that, I've obtained my Certified Public Accountant license in the Philippines and subsequently worked in Banking since the start of my career in 2008. I joined as an International Graduate for one of our largest clients in APAC, where at the time I also passed the Level III of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exams to increase my understanding on Financial Markets products and its complexities. I went on to obtain my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with Specialisation in Finance and graduated with merit at the National University of Singapore. After that, I joined Synechron in 2012. On the job, I've been fortunate to be exposed to a variety of roles and functions at various Banks, including managing projects for IT Capacity Optimisation, New Asset Product Development, Branch Expansion, AML/KYC and Compliance Remediation, Core Banking Implementation, as well as designing Target Operating Models for Global Markets Offshoring, Process Reengineering for Balance Sheet Automation, a Framework to comply with Regulatory Reporting in Finance and Risk, Data Quality and Governance in Financial Crime, etc.
Running, cycling, swimming and yoga
In my spare time, I like to catch up on sports including running, cycling, swimming, coupled with yoga. And on longer weekends, I like to go hiking and conquering new mountains, and planning trips across Asia or Europe. On days where I just want to relax, I go to my favourite beaches (primarily in the Philippines or somewhere off-the-beaten-track with few tourists), relax with a good book, explore new places and get to know the culture, eat the local cuisine, drink, and maybe find a few new recipes I can try to cook at home.
