Synechron Kicks Off 2020 With A Series Of Award Nominations Friday, February 28, 2020 - New York, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Dubai, Pune, Singapore
Synechron, Inc, the global financial services consulting and technology services provider, today announced it has been named on the shortlist for the UK FinTech Awards, British Bank Awards and the WeAreTheCity Awards, recognising the role both individuals and teams had in driving a successful 2019. The nominations are as follows:
With this being its inaugural year, the UK FinTech Awards has been developed to celebrate the UK’s pioneering financial services and financial technology sectors. Mariia Zalevskaya has been recognised for her work with tier one financial services institutions, performing the role of Lead Data Scientist on various projects, as well as positively contributing to the Synechron company culture by providing workshops for new starters and those looking to upskill. The LIBOR Accelerator Development Team has also been recognised by the same selection panel for developing a solution to help financial services firms solve complex benchmarking challenges as they approach the LIBOR phase-out deadline.
Synechron has also been nominated by its clients for the Consultancy of the Year at the British Bank Awards. Taking place on 12 March 2020, the British Bank Awards identifies the most innovative, well trusted, organisations in financial services. Synechron was put forward by clients for the award due to its dedication to innovation and ongoing commitment to deliver their projects, irrespective of scale, with the highest possible result.
To add to a successful start to the year, both Mariia Zalevskaya and Daniel Percy-Hughes have been nominated for Rising Star in Technology and Men for Gender Balance at the WeAreCityAwards, respectively. Mariia was again recognised for her work in 2019, plus the wider impact she has had on the FinTech sector, having co-founded the Women in Machine Learning and Data Science, London Chapter (WiMLDS) network, which has just reached 1,000 members. Headquartered out of New York, WiMLDS promotes women and gender minorities in data science, machine learning and AI. Daniel was nominated for his active involvement with Synechron’s Women in Business group; internal and external mentoring; his review and audit of Synechron UK’s hiring policies to ensure job adverts are fair and the language used, gender neutral; as well as for being a female Ally in the workplace in supporting his colleagues, making sure people have an opportunity to speak and be heard.
