Senior Business Analyst

New York City, NY, USA

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions, and influence strategic functional decisions
  • Partner with senior business stakeholders to formulate projects, technology deliverables, and roadmap planning
  • Record and organize technology book of work, enhancement requests, and issues in JIRA
  • Identify and communicate risks and issues and propose risk mitigation options, considering business implications
  • Evaluate evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate enhancements and/or alternatives to current systems by analyzing electronic trading processes and systems along with industry standards

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in Capital Markets, Secondary Sales, & Trading
  • Experience in Fixed Income Securities Mathematics and Concepts
  • Stakeholder experience at varying levels
  • Experience in Business Requirements writing
  • Experience with JIRA

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Functional knowledge of Fixed Income electronic Pricing protocols and Mortgage product knowledge is preferred, but not mandatory
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of business analysis
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with experience using Excel for data analysis
  • Experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
  • Experience writing SQL and analyzing and producing data models
  • Prior experience working with front office stakeholders or finance/product control teams
