Duties: Architect and support enterprise data warehouses capable of catering to enterprise-wide customer requirements with downstream users for banking, insurance and finance domains; develop and unit test ETL processes, mappings, workflows, sessions and dashboards; design and analyze data models in accordance with financial regulatory requirements; install, upgrade, patch and configure Hadoop distributions (Cloudera, Horton Works); install, configure and use Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS, Hive, Pig, Flume, HBase, Oozie, Python, R); use ETL tools to extract data from source systems and load it into target systems after applying requisite modifications, including designing scalable and high-performance standards and techniques for optimal loading of data of various types and from heterogeneous systems; implement business processes through a combination of middle-ware, database procedures, etc.; implement data quality/data cleaning logic driven by business requirements; analyze and validate big data report files; create and schedule ETL jobs to lead data into data warehouse and data marts; implement enterprise-wide data abstraction and security on the data warehouse; and evaluate data warehouse architecture for continual performance improvements and optimizations, including identifying and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
Education and Experience: Master of Science degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Applications. Alternatively, Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Applications plus five (5) years of experience as Software Developer, Database Administrator, Computer Programmer, or related position. Foreign educational equivalent accepted.
Worksite: 11 Times Square, New York, NY - 10036. Exact worksite location not known at this time but will report to and will be paid out of headquarters office in New York.
