The financial services sector has been no exception to this. While some sectors were forced to close, the financial services sector was able to remain largely operational. However, the difference was that the majority of the employees were not working together in an office but remotely from home, whilst communicating through channels such as Microsoft Teams, Skype and Zoom.
After the initial lockdown phase in Europe, some governments are loosening restrictions and, in turn, some companies are (at least partially) re-opening their offices for employees after a period of forced ‘Working From Home’ (WFH). This means that the often predicted and anticipated ‘new normal’ is on the horizon. But the question remains, what will this new normal actually look like and how will it impact the way we implement change?
