We are doing our part to GO GREEN!

Working across our India offices toward going green – with a slate of real-world-saving initiatives – and committing to planting 5,000 trees over the next five years

Focusing on recycling in our North America offices

At Synechron, we’re happy to do our part to save the world’s resources and decrease our carbon footprint. We are committed to helping to reduce our impact on climate change, and replenish our natural resources. At Synechron, we don’t just pay lip service, we pay attention -- then take action.

What is Synechron doing?

We are taking both a global approach – like shifting to digital company business cards instead of physical, printed cards – and then focusing regionally/locally to ‘assess and address’ what we should be doing better.

Synechron India offices:

We’re working behind the scenes with our India offices toward the goal of ‘Going Green’! Specifically:

All our India office interiors are IGBC Certified (Indian Green Business Council).
Proper waste management is carried out as per CPCB.
Stopped using paper towels (C Fold/M Fold) in our washrooms.
Started procuring Green energy for our offices in India. Our target is to add 10% of green energy consumption on a yearly basis – up from the current 6% of green energy of our total consumption.
Banished plastic water bottles usage in our office premises; replaced with recyclable glass bottles.
Tracking our GHG emissions for all India offices and set target to achieve Net Zero by 2035.
Adopting best practices in our office operations to conserve energy wherever possible.
Participating in CDP Climate change questionnaire conducted annually. We strive to improve our rating every year.
We are certified with ISO 14001:2015 for Environment Management System for all of our offices in India.
Developed a plan to plant around 5,000 trees over the next 5 years and maintain them until they become self-sustained.

London, UK office:

To do our part toward pollution-reducing initiatives, we are rolling out a GreenCars program to offer our UK employees an enticing, car lease program which includes electric and hybrid vehicles.

While the world continues to discuss a variety of environmental issues and solutions, particularly at COP27, the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change held November 2022 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, Synechron’s UK office is excited to develop its GreenCars leasing program. We are pleased to accelerate the shift away from cars with petrol and diesel engines’ emissions. The program is aligned with the UK government’s green plan to ban pollution-spewing cars in the UK by 2030.

Synechron North America offices:

We’ve identified ways to increase our efforts to recycle/reuse by:

Replacing single-use paper plates and plastic cutlery with reusable plates, bowls and cutlery.
Removing single-use plastic water bottles with using washable carafes, decanters and glassware.
Separating all office recyclables into dedicated bins, in accordance with building maintenance.

In addition, our NYC office building at 11 Times Square has been LEED certified (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design) as an environmentally-friendly building and provides LEED Platinum-level indoor air quality. LEED is the green building rating system framework and globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement and leadership
