/ / What I do at Synechron

Working in market infrastructure

Since 2010, I’ve been working in market infrastructure, notably in central counter-parties (CCPs). As a supervisor for CCPs for the past four years, I’ve been part of a huge shift in policy focused towards central clearing and have also helped ensure UK CCPs are meeting both national and international standards.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Simon ensures CCPs meet both national and international standards.

/ / Why I joined Synechron

A broad range of interesting and challenging opportunities

From the moment I arrived here, the team made me feel at home. The company offers a broad range of interesting and challenging opportunities that support local and international financial institutions right here in Singapore. While each individual here brings a unique perspective to the organization, we also share the same values including a commitment to excellence, knowledge sharing and team work.

/ / MY SKILLs, qualifications and experience

Financial regulation and public policy

After graduating from university during the financial crisis, I was keen to move into the world of financial regulation and public policy. Experiences in my past stints, and now at Synechron, have helped open up exciting opportunities for me to help drive forward the global regulatory agenda.

/ / My personal interests

Cycling

Being a fitness freak, I am fond of cycling activity in my leisure time. During weekends, I go for cycling trips to some nearby places with a group of like-minded people.
