Synechron is enthusiastic to join 200+ other corporate members of the Tech She Can community working together to inspire the next generation of women in technology. This consortium is dedicated to the mission of ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to participate in developing technology, and for women to play an equal role in how our world works, looks, thinks and feels. As a corporate supporting member, Synechron’s commitments will include ensuring inclusive access to training for tech roles and ensuring the optimal environment to attract, retain and advance technology-focused females within Synechron.
Among the Tech She Can commitments, members work collectively with hundreds of schools across the UK to educate and inspire pupils and teachers about technology and technology careers through targeted lessons, maximize the impact for schools in the government’s social mobility ‘cold spot’ areas, ensure inclusive access to technology training and technology roles within their own organizations, create the right environment for attracting and advancing females working in technology in their own companies, and share best practices across education, business and government sectors.
May Yang, Global Head of Operations at Synechron said, “Synechron continues to champion an array of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives within our own firm and in partnership with select first-class organizations around the world whose efforts are having a positive impact of the global workforce and helping to further inclusionary programs. We are well-aligned with the Tech She Can vision of inspiring females to become a vital voice within the technology sector and build a future that includes their perspectives and tech skills.”
Sheridan Ash MBE, Technology Innovation Leader at PwC UK, and Founder and Co-CEO of Tech She Can said, “Tech She Can is inspiring girls and young women by showing them the exciting opportunities provided by technology and the great careers it offers. At the same time, it is addressing the problem of skills shortages in technology and giving voice to female perspectives in the development and use of technologies that we all use.” She added, “We are excited to have Synechron, a well-respected leader in the technology space, joining our cause and supporting our initiatives.”

Tech She Can is a UK-based independent charity whose members collectively work to inspire and educate girls and women in the United Kingdom to study technology subjects and pursue technology careers. The goal is for women to be equal members in creating and developing the new technology businesses, products, and services that shape our world, ensuring technology works for all. Founded in 2018, in recognition of a need for collaboration across sectors, the government and educators in order to tackle the gender imbalance in technology, membership has grown from the original 19 founding members to over 200 organizations today.
